Storytelling Workshop - Practicing the craft of the oral tradition

Traditionally in most cultures, the long winter nights were the time of storytelling. Learn the magic of tale spinning at this January 2024 weekend workshop led by storyteller/teacher/musician, Debra Palmer. Friday (6-8 p.m.), Saturday (10 a.m - 4 p.m.), and Sunday (2-4 p.m.). RSVP for more info.

About the event

Claim your natural storytelling abilities in the ancient art of the oral tradition found in all cultures. Discover stories that speak to you and learn methods to share them in Story Circles created for entertainment, mental health hygiene, and community building. 

Minimum of 5 participants needed for this 9 hr. workshop to form a Story Circle that will meet monthly for 3 monthsfollowing the training - (Feb., March, April - dates & time (each approx. 1 1/2 hr) to be determined by the new Telling group). These three additional Story Circle gatherings are included in the fee for this introductory Storytelling workshop.

Forwarding the fee thru email or cheque holds your place. Please note: good humouor and participant commitment are also required commodities.
